Coming out of the 9th house where you had experiences that helped develop a philosophy which explained the meaning of your existence, we flip to the 10th house which brings the soul desire to authentically contribute to society in a meaningful way.
As with all angular houses (1st, 4th, 7th, 10th), this is a new evolutionary cycle for your soul. Think of already establishing and refining your unique self-expression, navigating relationship dynamics and establishing an understanding of the larger energetic expression we are all a part of. You've now moved on to experimenting with how to bring your unique self-expression out in society.
As was the case with those that have Pluto in the 4th house, most with this placement will have switched genders recently. This may help to explain any feelings, thoughts or actions that are primarily associated with the opposite sex. Maybe you’re a woman who doesn't like makeup, prefers jeans, a good sturdy pair of work boots and are equally attracted to men and woman. This could also indicate a desire for gender switch. Things that your soul wants to "wrap up" as the previous gender. Other aspects in the chart can provide some clues. Like having Venus square the nodes of the moon in Capricorn & Cancer.
Some with this placement have already contributed to society in a positive way in other lifetimes and are simply going to continue in fully actualizing what they've started. Maybe your Mars is in last quarter or balsamic phase with Pluto in your natal chart which would be an indicator that you've already had some lifetimes in this new cycle.
Most will still be navigating the many different ways of how to accomplish this. As always, the extremes of doing this can be part of the journey. Maybe you were a powerful presence in society in another lifetime, although it may have been accomplished from a personal ego standpoint. Kinda like this Emperor card in the Tarot of the Mystical Moments deck where the figure is controlling those around them.
The experience at some point creating an "event" that provides feedback intended to bring you back towards alignment with your higher self.

It's the late 1920's and you are living in Canada. Your dad is the head of a maple syrup bottling company. The money is good, but it takes a lot of effort to keep things rolling along and ensuring deadlines are met and production is on point. Your parents are pretty strict and following their rules and doing things "the right way" are of utmost importance. As you enter your teens, you discover a passion for music, writing and dancing. You have 3 radios stacked on the desk in your room and writings/drawings cover the walls. That said, you are continually pulled into the business to help and learn how things are done. Your dad recognizes how quickly you catch on and he is eager to get you up to speed so you can take things over when it's time for him to retire. You recognize how important it is for your dad that you maintain the business and follow in his footsteps. For you, that is priority, even though you prefer your pancakes with just butter ;) You eventually take over the business and do an excellent job at not only keeping the business going but growing it beyond expectations. In your limited free time, you can be found blasting the radio, attending concerts, dances and creative writing.
Fast forward to now, where you have a similar structured upbringing but no family business this time around. You live in a small town in Pennsylvania, USA. Your parents work hard at jobs that are just above entry level, just able to make ends meet. You are conditioned to do well in school, work hard and get a job that will be stable, pay well and allow you to retire comfortably. You follow along and find yourself climbing the ladder of Corporate America. It ticks some of your boxes and you are content for a while. As transiting Uranus approaches opposition to your natal Uranus (around 42 years old), you notice that the corporate structure is becoming more and more restrictive. It gets to a point where the tension is unbearable, and you exit. The only way you know how to earn a living is no longer and a path forward is unclear. Through this anxious and uncertain time, you begin connecting with nature, meditating, reflecting and defining what really gets you excited and makes you feel alive. You start taking dance classes and meet someone who is an artist. They show you some of their work and you become inspired. You give it a try and find out that you are a natural. You have also done a good bit of writing in this free time and opportunities start coming your way that provide a solid income for your skills. Your days are filled with doing things you love, and finances start rolling in. The days of hard work and sacrifice are in the past!
Those with a 10th house Pluto may feel their self-esteem and security connected to the way they contribute to society (i.e., workaholic). In times of "reset" (i.e., sudden changes, job loss, transition, re-orientation), this can be experienced as extremely destabilizing with the soul desire to contribute. Keep in mind that these periods of transition are needed. The purpose is to help you understand that even if the ways in which you contribute completely change, you are ok. This time, pointing you towards fully tapping into the energy of the polarity - Cancer/4th house.
Because of the need to establish internal emotional security, many with this placement will have experiences within the family or close relationships that will shift, similar to your role in society. Think of absent, strict or emotionally distance parent(s)/caregivers(s). Children that grow distant or are highly evolved which bring about internal examination.
