"Feeling and sensing the energy of all existence outside of space and time. An energetic antenna. Natural psychics, channels or mediums. Absorbing thoughts/feelings of others."
So, we've arrived here at the 12th house. The marker in an Astrological chart of endings, detachment, isolation, the unconscious, energetic attunement and alignment with the higher self/unseen realms.
There is an experience of life from a personal "I"…. "I'm in this body, my name is Keith, I live in this town, own this stuff and have desires to do… fill in the blank". From this vantage point, experiencing things in life that I feel "called" to explore. I'm not concerned why I'm being called to explore this thing… I just am, and I go for it. A representation of Aries/Mars energy. The beginning of the Zodiac.
Here in the 12th house, the soul desire is to connect, experience and fully align with the greater "I". That same Aries/Mars instinctual energy being driven from what is being sensed or felt beyond the 5 senses. Intuition, bodily cues, visions/messages in meditation, sleep or while doing mundane tasks. An inner knowing that this action I'm going to take is in alignment with my soul... even if it makes me anxious, doesn't logically make sense or is a way of being or action I'm not familiar with.
Operating from the former way is part of the soul's journey. What is it like to experience this reality as if I were separate from source (although you never are)? As this path is traveled, there comes a point when the awareness and feeling arises of the energetic whole we are all a part of. Visceral contact with your higher self/spirit guides.
With a Pluto placement here, that experience of sensing, knowing and working with the more is the soul intent. Some with this placement will be born with an innate knowing of this alignment. Natural psychics, channels or mediums. How this is worked with or responded to is going to be different for everyone. The childhood environment and conditioning will be a big influence.
Most will have impactful direct experiences to navigate that will lead to this higher self-realization. In most society's today, there is a keen focus on this material reality. Working hard, linear logical thinking, setting goals, acquiring material possessions, doing and experiencing things that feel good that provide stability and security. Imagine dropping into this reality with a firm connection to the non-tangible realm? That could definitely make it challenging to reconcile. I need to operate in this 3D reality while knowing or sensing energies that cannot be explained here.
A response to this could be deeply connecting with something in this reality that you can "hang your hat on". Whether that is an aspect of yourself, someone or something external.
Let's say you get invited as a teen by a friend to a non-denominational church service one weekend. You hadn't been interested in organized religion but the impact it has made on your friend leaves you intrigued. They speak about the good the church is doing in the community and how engaging the pastor and staff are.
You leave the Sunday service in awe. The music seemed to speak to your soul, the pastor was exceptionally engaging, and the message was relevant for some challenges you've been experiencing. You not only become a regular attendee, but you end up becoming close with the pastor, joining the staff and running some volunteer events. Your life becomes focused around the church, their mission and speaking to others every chance you get about your experience, encouraging them to check it out. Due to your enthusiasm, many do.
One day, one of the friends you invited to check out your church meets up with you and offers their perspective. They explained how the environment at the Sunday service was certainly energizing, entertaining and impactful... but it placed "hope and faith" in something outside of yourself. A feeling that you needed to stay connected to them and their messages in order to connect to source.
You leave that conversation a bit stunned. As the weeks pass, their feedback keeps "looping" in your mind. You begin noticing a subtle sinking feeling in your stomach every time you head to Sunday services or when you are asked to create another volunteer event. You reach out for another meeting with that friend to ask some more questions. You start connecting some of your experiences with the church with their feedback and gain clarity. You feel raw and rudderless.
You leave the church and take some time to process and reflect. This time, allowing you to reconnect to yourself and tap into the guidance and messages you receive through quiet time, walks in nature and meditation.
For some, this is where there can be a crossroads. You may stay in this aligned/connected place or as time passes, this alignment becomes skewed by the 3D and there is a similar experience to the church one. The purpose, to reroute you back to that inner alignment so that it becomes constant and unwavering. This "space between" the seen and unseen may take some time to navigate. An unconscious dialogue may look like...."I hold a desire to rely on what I'm sensing and feeling, but there are so many factors in this reality working against that." Marilyn Monroe has a 12th house Pluto (conjunct the North Node) in Cancer and is a good example of this. She was extremely dialed in to unseen energies, especially of others. Her moon, which is the ruler of her Pluto & North Node, is in Aquarius in the 7th house of relationships. Her Mars...in Pisces in the 8th house (deeply merging with others) which symbolized the volatility she experienced.
With this placement, your soul may have had experiences in this or other lifetimes that produce guilt. Do you do things for people in your life, contribute to situations or take certain actions that drain you energetically? Is it done out of obligation? Think of caring for another, being part of a group or even your employment. Areas where you are "splitting". I have to do this because… fill in the blank. If this is the case, part of your evolution in this lifetime is to experience this and begin releasing. Being able to speak and take action that are in alignment with your true authentic desires. Communicating to others your desires without feeling guilty or allowing others to generate the feeling of guilt within you. Creating proper boundaries so you can live authentically.
Another scenario can be disassociation. It's pretty common to see Pisces/12th house/Neptune associated with avoidance activities (drugs, alcohol, or simply engaging in something with the intent on taking the focus away from what is uncomfortable to experience or look at). The perspective that external experiences are overwhelming or working against you. So again, the soul wanting to experience this and navigate towards the realization that the external is reflecting internal powerlessness. A gift… allowing you to step into your true authentic self. Being able to shift perspective, understanding what these external experiences are showing you, good energy management, speaking your truth and setting proper boundaries.
Here…it will be really important to feel comfortable being "in the flow". Feeling and sensing what is the right action for you. Maybe you feel you need more sleep than usual. Go for it! Receiving messages, clearing and accessing information is part of the sleep process.
You can easily merge energies with others. Think of being in a crowd and feeling overwhelmed. Being in a relationship where a lot of time is spent together, and the lines begin to blur in terms of their thoughts and feelings vs. yours. Possibly becoming an extension of the other person's reality. Anytime you are spending a lot of time around people/group(s), it will be important to take some time away to "clear your field". Going back to Marilyn, aside from that 12h house Pluto, she has Neptune in her 1st house. She embodied that merging Neptune energy. Without awareness of this, energy management and proper boundaries, things can be difficult.
The polarity energy to embrace here is Virgo/6th house. Purification. Progressively removing anything which doesn't serve your truest expression. Creating an internal/external bridge between your intuition/higher self and this 3D reality. Following bodily cues, intuition, feedback from others/environment and integrating into society. Connecting with others that will help language or make sense of what you sense and feel. Being of service. Lighting the way for others to find their own inner truth.
