Pluto in your 8th house

"Powerful experiences. Innate radar that can sense subtle energies in the environment and within others. Discovering the proper balance of power. Understanding the deeper meaning in events, experiences, and relationships. Developing keen discernment."

With Pluto in the 7th house, we needed to experience a variety of relationships. Dropping yourself into the old petri dish to see how you interact and blend with others.

Here, you start merging deeply with some of the others in that dish ;). Things get ramped up a few notches. Pluto is at home here in the 8th house and having this signature in your natal chart is an indicator that other lifetimes saw you plumbing the depths of what it means to blend energies with others. When you hear the phrase "phoenix rising from the ashes", that is 8th house territory.

There is a trinity at play between the 1st, 4th and 8th houses. The 1st house is a representation of birth, becoming, and separating from source (in order to have a unique experience).

The 4th house representative of the womb. A place where you feel safe, secure, and nurtured. The seat of your emotions and feelings. All nice and tucked away ;) The 8th house is the desire to return to source. In a deeply committed relationship, each person takes their unique 1st house expression and exposes (or attempts to) their 4th house contents to one another in the 8th. Hopes, fears, worries, beliefs, triggers, ancestral patterns, experiences (this and other lifetimes), emotions, and subconscious... merge.

That's deep!

There is also an "inconjunct" between the 1st and 8th houses which is at play within everyone's consciousness. I like to describe an "inconjunct" pattern in Astrology as if you were standing in your living room trying to have a conversation with someone in the bedroom where you cannot see them, nor do they speak or understand your language. The 1st house wants to separate from source to have a unique experience while the 8th house wants to return. That's where things get tricky. How do you maintain your own expression when blending energies with another?

As always, many factors (i.e., consciousness level, conditioning...etc.) go into how this is experienced but most with Pluto here, will have individual soul memories or current life experiences of power imbalances (spiritual, physical, financial, sexual, emotional), betrayal, abandonment, and non-transparency. I'll also add that any other planets/symbols you have in your 8th house may be up for deep transformation in this lifetime as well.

Close relationships that you find yourself in are likely "replays" from other lifetimes which may have experienced imbalances. Getting back together in a different space/time to continue working through this energy. Think of close friends, family, romantic partners, and work/career connections. Knowing this and consciously navigating is the intent. Seeking inner alignment, even energy exchanges, and right relationship.

Deep magnetic attractions are part of this territory. Under the surface, there is soul recognition. Some of these relationships are required to "exchange codes". Let's say you have trouble speaking up when you feel you should. You may attract another that models what it's like to speak the truth without reservation. Through this relationship, that ability within you will be activated. Other's will be magnetically attracted to you as well. You have a soul frequency that gets responded to without effort.

Let's say you head to the library, grab a book off the shelf, and head to a back corner. You pull up that hood on your sweater and sit with your back to everyone, facing the windows. You think..."Ahhh... no one will bother me here". A few minutes in, you sense someone close by, so you glance over your shoulder and lock eyes with someone. You get a "jolt" within. They are in search of some keys they lost in that area, but it's clear there is a deeper meaning to this encounter. Turns out they just finished reading the book you picked out and a conversation ensues. So much for staying hidden ;)

Just being in another's presence for a certain amount of time, a glance, touch, or through the act of sex, these codes can be exchanged. Discernment, avoiding suppression, openness and transparency are key.

Something commonly experienced here is feeling powerless (intellectual, emotional, financial or spiritual) or powerful". Maybe you find yourself reliant on another financially and a shift happens where their resources are no longer available. This removal assists you to develop financial independence. Understanding the deeper meaning in this exchange for yourself and accessing your own personal power is the intent. Develop compassion for yourself and others as you go.

With a lot of your close relationships being "repeats", there can be soul memories of the dynamics within those relationships. Say you have one of those magnetic attractions with another and a relationship ensues. Things move quickly and there is a sharing of intense experiences/feelings. Seemingly out of nowhere, you begin noticing that you are feeling "unsafe". A feeling that they are going to hurt you in some way. Logically, they haven't done or said anything that would generate these feelings, so you're left a bit confused as to why. This could be your intuition kicking in or it may be that this is what you experienced with them in another lifetime.

The key here is full transparency. Expressing to them what you are feeling. If your partner is conscious, open, transparent, and willing to work through this with you…. you both have the chance to avoid a repeat or reversal of this dynamic (they hurt you again or you hurt them out of fear). The opportunity to change karma. A huge step forward for both of your evolutions.

If your partner isn't able to go to that depth, then your authenticity will lead you to the right orientation in the relationship. If that means a parting of ways (which may be difficult), it will serve your evolution and plant a seed to help in theirs. Again, avoiding a more traumatic experience and changing karma.

With this placement, it's also possible you carry a generalized fear of being fully vulnerable with another. A vibration within that is meant to keep you safe as your soul may have experienced trauma, hurt, betrayal, and loss in other lifetimes (and this one). If this is the case, part of your evolution this time around is to be objective and authentic…like in the example above. "I'm feeling unsafe to open up, can we talk about this?" Whether another can or cannot, will determine your direction. The most important thing for you is authenticity and vulnerability.

The main purpose here is to understand, uncover and transform any personal limitations. Continuing to ask and get answers to the question of why as you experience life. Being able to view relationship dynamics as a way for you to understand where you are feeling powerful or powerless. Getting to a place where you are comfortable exposing all of who you are to another. Developing discernment. The ability to say "yes" or "no" to people and situations. Going back to the trinity I discussed earlier, achieving full authentic expression (1st house), realizing and removing anything preventing emotional security within (4th house), and merging with situations/others who are vibrating at that same frequency (8th house). Surround yourself with people/situations that are authentic, collaborative, and life-giving. Seeing the bigger picture and gaining wisdom.

The polarity energy to embrace here is Taurus/2nd house. Times of isolation to remove external energies, reflecting on past experiences and making adjustments. Identifying the gifts, skills, and abilities within that sustain your existence. Simplifying. Getting to a point where you no longer experience "phoenix rising from the ashes" moments. Being able to penetrate to the core of experiences and deeply transform your own and others' realities.

Refer to the article here on Pluto generational descriptions to find which you are a member of to learn what mode of operation you've chosen for this lifetime. As always, there are many other factors that play into how this energy is experienced individually. If this resonates and would like to learn more, you can order a 'Soul Map' report here or schedule a session with me here.
