Since Venus is a personal planet, I'll start here….
When I first heard about things like the law of attraction and manifestation, it made sense, and I wanted to give it a shot. It included determining what I desired (being as specific as possible), creating a mind movie (vision board), and investing time every day to this practice—releasing attachment to the timing when these would manifest in my reality and remaining open. In reflection, this was an experience that "kick-started" many changes in my life.
Through this process, even though some of those mind movie things came, I had a feeling like something in this way of creating was off. I couldn't pinpoint it, but I started to gain clarity as time went on. I had a session with a tarot card reader, and they articulated it perfectly. I'll paraphrase here, but it went something like…"I have people say to me all the time, I've said my affirmations over and over for years, and nothing ever happens. What they aren't seeing underneath those words is that they don't feel worthy". The old light bulb came on. "I want to love myself fully. Please show me the way".
Venus correlates to your inner vibration. How do you really feel inside? What do you think you're lacking? What are your shadows? What gifts and skills do you possess that you aren't seeing? What types of situations or people do you need to see and love yourself fully? Depending on where you are in terms of inner alignment will determine the experience. It could bring "phoenix rising from the ashes" moments, subtle tweaks, adjustments, or anything in between. That said, this journey is the most important one you'll ever take.
There are two sides to Venus, represented by Taurus and Libra. Taurus represents your internal vibration, how you see yourself. Self-esteem. The things you value correlate to the people or material things you surround yourself with. Libra is external. How that Taurus energy gets represented, received, and responded to by others in relationships.
The house, sign, and aspects to Venus in your natal chart will give clues on the type of energy you carry within and those you'll be attracting (along with the sign on the cusp of your 7th house and any planets there). This is essential to understand. "The Mirror Affect" in action. The internal reflected externally… especially in close relationships.
If Venus was retrograde at the time of your birth (appearing to be moving backward from our Earthly point of view) … that's crazy! ;) Venus only goes retrograde every 18 months for about six weeks. The most infrequent planet in retrograde. Ironically, Venus is retrograde as I write this :). If this is the case for you, I see this as a trinity comprised of Virgo, Taurus, and Aquarian energy. A strong focus on self-improvement. Creating space so that your inner world stays protected. Probably not very interested in following the status quo. In terms of relationships, a soul desire to "finish up" relationship dynamics from other lifetimes and attract others who are self-sustaining and carry a similarly solid internal compass.
Venus may have "progressed" into another sign depending on your age. Let's say you are 46 years old today. Moving your natal chart forward 46 days from the time of your birth will give clues on how your inner vibration has shifted through the years. This move to another sign symbolizes changes in your psyche. That said, the sign Venus was in at birth will always be active and present. Maybe you have a natal Venus in Gemini, which progressed into Cancer. You may call in relationships that help tap into or understand your emotions on a deeper level.
With that said, let's roll through the Venus expression in each sign of the zodiac. The starting point in understanding what's vibrating within… Venus through the signs
